2. Independent Home Management

We can assist in handling the logistics of finding a home or living arrangements, if needed. Once housed, client can choose his/her own furnitures of preference.

  • Financial Guidance: Support with personal budgeting, bill paying, and banking.
  • Housing Support: Assistance with finding a home, managing a lease, and utility setup.
  • Domestic Skills: Hands-on help with laundry, cleaning, and creating a comfortable home environment.

3. Community & Social Connection

We believe life is meant to be shared. We help our clients stay active, connected, and engaged with the world around them.

  • Transportation: Reliable rides to work, social events, or errands, and training for public transit.
  • Social Growth: Support in joining local clubs, visiting the gym, or attending community events.
  • Safety Training: Building the confidence and skills to navigate the community independently.

The San Andreas Regional Center Application Process

Contact Your Regional Center

1. The Initial Meeting

The process starts with a face-to-face meeting between you, your family, and the San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) staff to get to know your needs.

2. Gathering Information

To determine eligibility, the San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) reviews various assessments.

  • What you provide: Any existing medical, psychological, or educational reports.
  • What San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) provides: If more info is needed, SARC may request an assessment from a community provider.
  • The Cost: All assessments are 100% free to the applicant.

The Decision

Once all reports are finished and reviewed, you will be notified of the outcome:

 If Eligible

  • Next Steps: We will explain your specific program details.
  • Planning: A Service Coordinator will contact you within 60 days to create your Individual Program Plan (IPP).

If Not Eligible

  • You will be notified by the San Andreas Regional Center
